Importance of Self-Belief

I really believe that we don’t get what we want in life; we get what we expect. What does that mean? Let us explore.

In my last blog I posed the question, ‘how could the lady who WANTS a close relationship, get what she wants – without sabotaging herself in the process’? This lovely lady WANTS a Prince Charming in her life but BELIEVES: ‘All the good men are taken’.
How do any of us get what we want, is the broader question.

People tell me that they send love, have positive thoughts, express gratitude AND even repeat affirmations ’til they’re blue in the face. That they’re doing everything right in conscious thought creation – but they’re still waiting for their desires to come true.

Well hold on. Let’s just wait a minute. So we’re doing all the right things. We’re raising our energy and vibrational level. I get it. Where’s the pay-off? If our thoughts create our lives… where is the life we’re imagining? The happiness, the joy, the car/house/dream vacation? Prince or Princess Charming? the dream job or promotion?

Ok, so a couple of questions. Are you feeling you are deserving or worthy of your wish? I mean deep, deep down? Many of us hold old, out-dated beliefs that do not serve us well. Beliefs of, ‘I don’t deserve this’; ‘That’s too good for me’; ‘Other people have all the luck’… These self-limiting beliefs are basically bad habits picked up from childhood, adolescence, in the form of family beliefs or peer group messages. From previous experiences. Maybe ONCE you didn’t get the job you really wanted, or the boy/girlfriend you set your sights on waltzed off with your best friend. Or do you entertain a fixed belief that good things happen to other people? that you have terrible luck. that you’re a Pisces… the list is endless.

May I say one thing? STOP THE INSANITY! You ARE TOTALLY WORTHY, YOU TOTALLY DESERVE your most heartfelt desires. Oh, you did something bad in the past and now you’re being paid back? You didn’t finish school/get good grades/you were mean to your best friend at high school. You had lousy parents and you’re still not speaking to your sister and brother-in-law, STOP. STOP the excuses. And let me remind you WHY!

Because it is only NOW THAT MATTERS! Yes! Remember what I have said? Forget about yesterday or 10 years ago. Don’t even think about tomorrow. In THIS MOMENT (and every other), you are loved, blessed, beautiful and perfect. Yes. Just as you are. YOU are DESERVING of every desire, ambition and yearning that you have in that beautiful mind of yours.

You may repeat this to yourself in any form you like. That you are loved. That you are a beautiful, amazing, perfect being. And that you DESERVE the very BEST in life. Repeat and BELIEVE. Gradually, your subconscious mind will come on board with this now innate belief. And this is when the magic begins to happen! When your conscious and subconscious minds are synchronized, when your SELF belief starts to rise, when you Send Love Forward and give Gratitude as a what? Default Mechanism, yes that’s right! This is the moment that your life as you imagine it – starts to come into fruition.

Yes, I know I said I had a couple of questions. I have run out of time, but shall soon share with you my other big question. It’s all coming together. The basic formula of your Abundant Life is right here on this horizon. How exciting is that?!

In the meantime I am Sending Love to each and every one of you. Please practice Sending Love Forward. You have many opportunities in your day to thank someone. To bless them silently with your Love. To be the silent wind beneath their feet. Whoever they are. Love.

Share the joy
